This project turned free education into a trust-building engine for the asset management industry and proved that the sharpest brand content can be built entirely within an existing visual system.

The Client
Rimes is a data management services specialist for the asset management industry, born in New York and trusted by some of the world's leading investors to take the guesswork out of data management. In a sector where data is the raw material of every decision, Rimes helps asset managers and their partners master the data their performance depends on.
I was brought in to design the brand content at the heart of an ambitious lead-generation campaign.
The Challenge
Two challenges, stacked. The first was strategic: in asset management, trust is the whole game. Data is the gold funds are built on, and outsourcing its management to the wrong provider is a costly, high-risk call no CDO wants on their record. Rimes had to earn the confidence of a demanding audience (asset managers, brokers, and the IT and data leaders who serve them) before any sales conversation could begin.
The second was pure craft: Rimes already had a strong, recognisable visual identity the audience knew well. My job wasn't to reinvent it. It was to make new, distinctive work within a locked system. New recipes with existing ingredients.
The Strategy
The core idea was as bold as it was counterintuitive: give away what everyone else was selling. Rimes set out to become the industry's most generous source of knowledge - free, genuinely useful content no competitor offered - then generate qualified leads on LinkedIn and convert them through its global sales network.
My part was to make that knowledge irresistible: a collection of didactic e-books, brochures, web and LinkedIn assets that turned dense data-management topics into something clear, credible, and worth a CDO's time. Content sharp enough to be taken into boardrooms ; the argument a data leader needed to convince their executive committee to outsource and to do it with Rimes.
All of it delivered from within a team scattered across continents: New York, London, Paris and beyond working as one.
The Outcome
The campaign reached 200% of its original engagement targets. 2 times what had been planned. Free knowledge became qualified pipeline, a locked brand system proved it still had new things to say, and Rimes demonstrated that in a market built on trust, generosity converts.
Afterwards, I've been creating maybe 30 or 40 e-books, on 4 years of collaboration.
