SUMMARY

I am the creator and the co-organizer of a 3x3 basketball tournament. But this event is way more than a basketball tournament. I do everything from thinking the event to design. Cherry on top: I grab the mic on D-day and do my show.

BACKGROUND

DESIGNING THE BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT I WOULD LIKE TO 

Amboise-Nazelles Basketball is one the the only basketball club in the area. I got involved in the club development as consulting specialist. I made several propositions to the board like being the fair-play referent and providing 2 super events. First, a All-Star Game with selected players from the area - that's very funny. Second, a one-of-a-kind 3x3 tournament. I decided to create this tournament starting from scratch.

STARTING FROM SCRATCH

IF YOU WANT IT, JUST DO IT

Let's summarize: I got to think about a basketball tournament to enhance the 3x3 practice and make it charitable. Anything else? No. I got "carte blanche". So, I decided to build an Organization Team made of motivated people. We made market research, brainstorming, Marketing strategy and we've created Le Tournoi des Trois Rois (Three King Tournament). To make it unique, we mixed the competition with a gastronomical village where award-winners craftsmen in delicatessen, wine and beer making, pastry and confectionery, can present and sell their products. The food was unbelievable!

But the real choice was to plan the tournament like a social event with a charitable mission. In this perspective, we selected an association that works for the disabled and organized an exhibition game with players in wheelchairs playing in the National championship. The goal was to collect money enough to help disabled people to access the work environment and get a job.

We got the three axis to enforce the project: Sport & Competition - French Gastronomy - Charitable action for the Community

CREATING THE IDENTITY

I enjoyed drawing the King's head, making the beard looks like a basket ball and making the whole logo. The color theme is also used to make images in the tone and I've chosen the Sugo Pro typography to make it sporty.

High level basketball tournament. A fun day dedicated to a form of basketball that is attracting more and more players.

GASTRONOMY

The originality of the tournament resides in the gastronomic village located at the crossroads of playgrounds.

COMMUNITY

We wish to support associations to participate in the financing of their action because sport is a vector of social cohesion.

VISIBILITY

We offer companies visibility. We want our partners to be seen as they deserve.

CHANGE VIEW

Change the look on disability. Open the eyes of employees: disability is just a simple difference.

VALUES OF SPORT

It is a tournament first! The final victory is at stake. But nothing beats living together and fair play.

THE SOLUTION

FUN FUN FUN

We have to wait for the second edition due to Covid-19 cancellation but the first edition showed the concept is ready to grow.
